Hello to all Pinoy Fixie viewers!

Thanks for dropping by and welcome to Pinoy Fixie! This page was created with hopes to truly foster all Filipino on and off-road, fixed-gear and single-speed bicycle enthusiasts, mtb’ers, fixie riders, and track cyclists worldwide. From local fun rides, races, criteriums, and especially all disciplines of track racing, to competing at state, national, and regional levels, ultimately to the upcoming Rio Olympics 2016 and beyond by earning qualifying points through international events and all UCI World Cups.

Hopefully you can join us in Pinoy Fixie's Facebook Group. Message me if needed. Just a few requests... no solicitation, profanity, nor posting of any unrelated stuff. Let's be matured and focused even in this virtual world. The sport of cycling still embraces proper etiquette on and off the saddle. Kindly give a short introduction of yourself and start posting. Check out our Facebook Page also for the latest happenings.

Let’s talk about routes you ride, how you trained lately, bike parts you’re curious about or maybe just wanted to pass on or looking for. Share race results, top finishes, and medals earned. Don’t hesitate to post pictures and videos. Let us know any related events you are aware of – past, at this moment, and upcoming.

The goal is to use this social media as a portal to share or gain knowledge and experiences of these specific types of bicycle riding. Most importantly, help, assist, and mentor peers who wants to get started and for those who wants to get to the next level. Let it be known if besides riding or racing...the important side ... reliable mechanics, trusted managers, dedicated trainers, determined coaches, our officials, caring sponsors, and supporters. Hopefully we can create discussions, brainstorm, and find answers and tips from our friends worldwide and from our homeland.

Thank you and maraming salamat sa lahat!

2011 SCNCA Masters and Arizona State Track Championships

Three Fil-Am track cyclists recently won medals at Southern California Nevada State Masters Track Championships and earned the right to wear the precious State Champion jersey. Tony Zaldua, younger brother James Zaldua and Arden Arindaeng of Los Angeles won gold medals in the Team Sprint event.

This annual championship event was held early in July at San Diego Velodrome. In addition to winning the Team Sprint event, Tony finished 2nd place for the silver medal in the Scratch Race. James also won 2nd place in the 1-kilometer Individual Time Trial. Arden earned another gold medal in the 1-kilometer Individual Time Trial. They each earned their additional medals from their respective age groups.

Roberto “Bobbit” Atendido not only won the 1-kilometer Individual Time Trial but also the 200-meter Flying Time Trials, Match Sprints, Points Race, and Team Sprint events where only one first place finish gave him the right to wear Arizona’s State Championship jersey. He earned a total of 6 gold medals!

Pinoy Fixie at Pinoy Roadies

Can you all believe this!!! Pinoy Fixie has been viewed 1,350 times since it was posted last October 28, 2007! (well, maybe about 50 of those views and replies are mine, but still!) AND that's only 7 months ago! Not bad for a cycling group this unique. But before I elaborate more on this post, I would like to thank the Administrators and Moderators of Pinoy Roadies: Janix, Tiger27, Oka, and the rest of the pioneers for having that topic last that long. Over time, I was expecting it to slowly move down and get to the bottom of the list but its been staying on the top since then. Yes, it's been viewed many times but we're only 19 members strong. These are well experienced cyclists either on fixies or track cycling but some are confident on both aspects! Like what I've been mentioning, its a very restrictive group and I inquire more after I recieve a request. By then, it will be clear if its a perfect fit to the group or not.

Thanks to Pinoy Roadies and its viewers!

As a gratitude, you'll find a link to Pinoy Roadies in the "Affiliations:" page element.
